CUT, SEW, SMILE

The take five die, from Accucut is quite a wonder.....THIS photo shows how the die cuts the fabric. I have switched out several of my frog fabrics to preview it before sewing. In this block there are no seams to match....and the whole quilt top went together in two afternoons.

I love cutting my quilts with Accucut. The blocks go together so nicely. I also love that the dog ears are cut off.

What is your favorite die? I really like this one, the Take 5, but I also like the 2 1/2" strip die.

Stay tuned for a fabric swap...where I cut the fabric with this TAKE 5 DIE, swap it out, and send it back to the swap sisters....You know I love those swaps!!!!!

Love it and that quilt is similar to the 20 one. The quilt shop where I am getting my STAR BOM has an Accucut she does all her blocks for BOM and you can rent it out for $10 an hour or $50 for the year. I haven't done it yet.

Is it easy to use?

It is very easy to use. I think that $50. is alot of money, but well worth it if she will allow you to use fabric from your stash as well as fabric you buy from her. In about 15 min. you could cut out 3 or 4 raggy tote bags, or enough blocks for a small quilt. You would want to make your "sandwiches" a little larger that the die, and sew your "X" before cutting the squares for raggy items. For the take 5, prewash your fabric, and use a spray starch to give the fabric some body! You Go Girlie!!!
